Happy summer to all my readers!
Despite the summer heat, I am in full swing here at my lutherie workshop in Cremona. This is a particularly busy time as I prepare for the prestigious Triennale Violin Making Competition, which will take place from September 6 to October 13, 2024. Hosted by the Museo del Violino in Cremona, this event is a unique opportunity to showcase the art and craftsmanship of Cremonese violin making, and I am deeply involved in creating the instrument that will participate in the competition.
The International Triennial Violin Making Competition "Antonio Stradivari" is the most important event in the sector worldwide. Now in its XVII edition, the competition will see luthiers from around the globe compete in four categories: violin, viola, cello, and double bass. The instruments in the competition will be exhibited at the Museo del Violino, and the winners will be announced during an official ceremony on September 25, 2024.
My participation in this competition is not new. In past years, I have had the privilege of being awarded and recognized for the quality of my instruments. These accolades are a testimony to the hard work and passion I put into every stage of creating my instruments, from selecting materials to final finishes.
Today, I would like to offer you a special experience: a virtual tour of my workshop. Thanks to the advanced technology of RealSee, you can explore every corner of the place where my instruments are born, discovering the details of my daily work. This tour will allow you to see up close the creation process, from raw materials to final finishes, and to better understand the dedication I put into every violin, viola, and cello.
Accessing the tour is simple, just click here and start your visit. You will be virtually welcomed into the heart of my workshop, where you can observe the instruments, the techniques, and who knows, perhaps even uncover some of the "secrets" that make my work unique. It is an unmissable opportunity for all lutherie enthusiasts, musicians, and curious people who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of an authentic Cremonese workshop.
I warmly invite you to explore the tour and be inspired by the beauty and art of violin making. If this virtual journey raises any questions or the desire to deepen your knowledge of this fascinating world, do not hesitate to contact me.
