Custom-Made Instruments

Each instrument is made individually in my workshop in Cremona, combining the tradition of classical Cremonese violin making with my own experience and approach. Dimensions, materials and details can be discussed according to the musician’s requirements, with the aim of creating an instrument with its own character, both visually and acoustically.

A Dialogue with the Musician

A commission begins with a conversation. I listen to the musician’s preferences and requirements and discuss the choices that can influence the finished instrument. Depending on the project, these may include the model and dimensions, the selection of wood, varnish and fittings, always seeking a balance between aesthetics, playability and sound.

The Making Process

Each instrument is made by hand in my workshop in Cremona, from the selection and preparation of the wood to the finished instrument. My work is based on years of experience and study of the classical Cremonese tradition, while each new instrument is approached individually according to its model, materials and intended characteristics.

International Shipping

Instruments can be shipped internationally using appropriate protective materials and reinforced packaging. When required, an instrument can be shipped fully set up and ready to play, protected in a carbon-fibre case and an external reinforced box.
